Donation amount for rehabilitation of infrastructure destroyed by floods

Barclays Bank, gives a check to Maputo City Council.

As part of its social responsibility policy, in March of this year, Barclays Bank, through a simple and symbolic ceremony, delivered a Giant Check to Maputo Municipal Council, in the amount of 169,000.00MZN (Cento and Sixty-Nine Thousand Meticais) that will be channeled to the rehabilitation of infrastructures devastated by the floods recorded at the beginning of January of this year.

The check was delivered by the Bank 's Operations Manager, Dr. Agnelo Laice, to the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Maputo, Dr. David Simango, in the presence of some members of the Municipal Council, Press and BBM colleagues.

This initiative is part of the Bank's commitment to actions of a socially responsible nature, in which the Bank finds its basis to intervene, aware of its commitment to develop and implement activities that have a positive social impact and contribute to the development of Level of the communities with which the Bank operates daily.
